And here is some exciting news for you about this year´s Visegrad Film Forum:
The 5th Visegrad Film Forum will take place at the Faculty of Film and Television and in KC Dunaj in Bratislava from April 5-9, 2016.
Come to enjoy five days full of screenings of student films, master classes with renowned experts, case studies of interesting film projects, discussions, and workshops – all connected with a very up-to-date main topic of the VFF. Don´t miss the special discount for accreditation available until April 1, 2016 – it´s only 25 Eur / 15 Eur for students/ on www.visegradfilmforum.com.
The main topic of VFF 2016 is more than interesting!
Audience development and film literacy – there is no more relevant topic now, in this era of digitalization. We will also try to touch the issue of why European films are unable to reach a bigger audience. Is it solely because of the mass distribution and promotion of American movies or are there other reasons? Don´t miss out on discussions on promoting film literacy in Europe including up-to-date projects focused on the filmgoers of every age, and case studies of successful European films, which have “crossed the borders” of their own region. More info soon.
Name of the first guest speaker revealed!
VFF will welcome László Rajk, a Hungarian Production Designer, who worked on several Hungarian and international movie productions including The Man from London, The Turin Horse, Mirage, The Martian, as well as this year´s winner of the Grand Prix at Cannes, a film with an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language film – Son of Saul.
New partner schools are here!
Starting from this year, we are going to change the selection of our partner schools regularly.
Apart from schools from the Visegrad countries (at VFF 2016 they will be The Academy of Performing Arts – Faculty of Film and Television in Bratislava, Eszterházy Károly College in Eger, Tomas Bata University in Zlin, The Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz), we invited four other schools from Eastern Europe (The Caragiale University of Theatrical Arts and Cinematography in Bucharest, The National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television of Karpenko-Kary in Kiev, The University of Montenegro – Faculty of Drama in Cetinje, The Faculty of Dramatic Arts at the University of Arts in Novi Beograd).
Get ready for friendly battles again. There will be student films from two partner schools “competing” in each of the four blocks of the student films screenings.
